Your Body Your Choice... What About Him?

In 1973, Rowe v Wade gave women the right to abort a fetus up to the time that the fetus became viable; which was decided by the court to be 28 weeks. Abortion became legal and women were given the right to decide what to do with their own bodies when it came to abortion.

Should women have all of the power? Well, with power comes responsibility. Women have a lot of power when it comes to their choice on rather to have a child. That is not just power over your own body but power over his pocketbook and his future. I understand that women should have the right to decide what to do with their own bodies. God gave everyone the right of choice. But that decision should be made before conception? There are numerous choices available for birth control and birth control is both parties responsibility.

Should men have the right to decide what to do with their seed? If a man decides he wants the baby and the woman decides she does not, does he not have the right to the baby even if the mother does not want the child, after all, it is his seed. If a man has to pay support even if he does not want the child, why should he not have some say in rather to keep the child?

Since both people have the responsibility for protection, why should both parties not have something to say about the outcome? Would there be more responsibility when it comes to protection if men could decide they wanted to keep the baby? How many men do you think would make the decision to keep the baby?

Since it takes both parties to make the choice to participate in the act and both people have the responsibility for birth control and both people have to contribute to support. Should not both people have the right to decide when, and if, they want or do not want children or a child at that particular time?
